The effect of particle radius on the field-dependent susceptibility in the absence of MRI, given by (39), is examined for three magnetic fields of interest: μ0He = 10 mT, 20 mT and 30 mT. As the nanoparticle radius approaches 0, the susceptibility also tends towards zero. Solid volume fraction is ϕ = 0.002 and Md is assumed that for magnetite, Md = 446 × 103 A/m.
