DNA from RRMS(r) and healthy control plasma samples were treated with Hin6I (+) or left untreated (−). Note the differential amplification of FAS, MDGI and SOCS1 in the RRMS(r) sample compared to the control sample. In contrast, MGMT and GPC3 have identical patterns in both samples. Asterisk (*) marks the absence of a PCR product to indicate that the gene promoter is unmethylated.
