Sorghum and maize PEPC activity are inhibited by anionic phospholipids. Crude extracts were incubated at 30°C during 30 min in the presence of 50 μm of the phospholipids indicated, and PEPC activity was assayed at pH 8.0 as described in Supplemental Materials and Methods S1.
