While most eukaryotes contain only one or two CAF1 proteins, Arabidopsis has 11, which group into three well-supported clades. Clade I includes AtCAF1a and AtCAF1b; clade II includes AtCAF1c to AtCAF1g; and clade III includes AtCAF1j and AtCAF1k. Bootstrap values on nodes were generated in PAUP*.
