Catalytic activities of mutated recombinant PaIDS1 proteins heterologously expressed in E. coli and assayed with [1-14C]IPP and DMAPP. Reaction products were enzymatically hydrolyzed, and the resulting alcohols were analyzed by radio-gas chromatography.
