Tyrosine phosphatase inhibition and cytoskeletal disruption restore adhesion-inhibited NADPH oxidase activity and Rac2 and Vav1 activation. Neutrophils treated with vanadate or cytochalasin b (cyto b) as in described in Methods were tested for H2O2 production in response to 1 × 10–7 M fMLF under suspension and adherent conditions (a). Rac2 (b) and Vav1 (c) activities were determined after treatment with fMLF for 5 minutes. Results shown are representative of two independent experiments using cells from different donors.
