MRGBP increases expression of BRD8 protein in a post-transcriptional manner. (A) HEK293 cells were transfected with pcDNA-Myc/His-MRGBP and/or pCAGGS-HA-BRD8. After transfection, the cells were harvested at the indicated time points, and western blot analysis was performed (upper two panels). Expression of β-actin served as a control. Simultaneous northern blot analysis using BRD8 or β-actin cDNA as a probe was performed (lower two panels). Expression of β-actin served as a control. (B) Effect of knockdown of MRGBP on BRD8 expression. HCT116 cells were transfected with MRGBP-specific or control siRNA for 72 h.
