In the hierarchical analysis, FLocTot quantifies the genetic differentiation between localities within the total and FColLoc the differentiation between colonies within localities. Dispersal rate between localities (d2) and total dispersal rate (d1 + d2) are computed from the non-hierarchical and hierarchical sex- and state-specific analyses, respectively. Dispersal rate between colonies within localities (d1) is derived from the previous estimates. Confidence intervals (95%) are in brackets.
