The spectra from a lactate/lipid phantom (Phantom 2) using the BASING-PRESS lactate editing pulse sequence. The 2.3 cm3 voxel encompassed both lactate and lipid-containing regions. The left panel is the spectrum obtained by adding each cycle. The right panel shows the results of subtracting the two cycles. TE/TR = 144/1500 ms, 768 transients (384 per cycle).
