Animals were exposed to hypoxia (8% O₂) for 2 h or exposed to hypoxia for 2 h and allowed to recover in room air (21% O₂) for an additional 2 h. Due to the size of the data set produced by the lipid profiling analyses, only significant changes (p < 0.05) are shown. Data are presented as mean ± SEM (nmol/g tissue). All comparisons were made versus Baseline as follows: ^aP < 0.05, ^bP < 0.02, ^cP < 0.01, ^dP < 0.005, and ^eP < 0.001. Lipid class abbreviations can be found in the legend of Table 1.
