Note: Parishes sorted by ascending HUD estimated percent of occupied housing units with major/severe damage. School enrollment-based population estimates were interpolated using May and October public school enrollment population estimates. Because the population estimates represent the entire universe of known population estimates, the standard deviation is a population standard deviation rather than a sample standard deviation and is calculated as SQRT(1/N*∑(x i-μ)2). The MAPD was determined by calculating the mean of all four estimates for each parish and, using this as a reference point for that parish, calculating the mean absolute percent difference of all four estimates from the mean for July 2006
