Antisense inhibition of PAK2 causes a decrease in p-merlin in PC-3M cells. PAK2 is an enzyme that phosphorylates (and activates) merlin; thus, the preferentially expressed hypophosphorylated form of merlin in PC-3M cells depends on PAK2, as it does in DU145 cells[12].
