A 32P-5′-labeled 377 bp restriction fragment was damaged by xanthine/xanthine oxidase-activated TPZ under anaerobic conditions, the DNA precipitated, washed, and the labeled DNA fragments resolved on a high resolution (25%), denaturing polyacrylamide gel as described in the Experimental Section. The labeled DNA fragments were visualized by phosophorimager analysis.
