Moderate-intensity aerobic exercise attenuates PGE₂ levels but not EP1 receptor expression in the lungs of OVA-treated mice. Mice were OVA-treated and exercised as described in Materials and Methods. At the conclusion of the protocol, mice were subjected to bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL); BAL fluid was analyzed for changes in PGE₂ content via PGE₂-specific ELISA (^†P < 0.01 as compared with sedentary, saline-treated controls; *P < 0.01 as compared with sedentary, OVA-treated; n = 6–8 mice per group).
