Zoospore encystment rates. Swimming zoospores from wild-type strain P6497 (WT), the GUS-expressing transformant (CK), and three PsGPR11-silenced mutants (T2, T45, and T88) were incubated on glass plates at 25°C for 1 h. The numbers of swimming zoospores and encysted zoospores were counted under the microscope, and the ratio of encysted zoospores to the total zoospores (swimming and encysted) was calculated.
