DmHsp22 expression in human breast (MCF7) and lung (A549) cancer cells with wild type p53 caused their malignant transformation. Expression of DmHsp22 was detected by Western blotting with anti-Hsp22 antibody (A). Vector and DmHsp22-infected cells were assayed for invasion by chemotaxis assay (B, left panel), colony forming capacity (B, middle panel), and tumor formation in nude mice (B, right panel).
