ITC measurements of the binding of heparin to full-length Tau protein at 37.0 °C. A represents typical calorimetric titration of full-length Tau (40 μm) with heparin (1.5 mm) in the absence of DTT. The first injection (0.5 μl) was followed by 19 injections of 2 μl. B shows the plots of the heat evolved (kcal) per mol of heparin added, corrected for the heat of heparin, against the molar ratio of heparin to full-length Tau. The data (solid squares) were fitted to a two sequential binding sites model and the solid line represents the best fit. The ITC machine used here was an iTC200 titration calorimetry (MicroCal).
