Silver staining of Agarose gels

1.	Acetate buffer
a.	Sodium acetate	82 g/L
	Adjust pH to 6.0 using glacial acetic acid
2.	Potassium ferrocyanide (2% w/v) in acetate buffer
3.	Solution A
	7% (w/v) sodium carbonate
	Solution B
	Ammonium nitrate	3 grams
	Silver nitrate	2 grams
	Silicotungstic acid	10 grams
	Formalin	8.8 mL
	Water to 1 L

All solutions are stable at room temperature for at least 2 weeks, Solution B should be prepared by addition of ingredients in the order indicated
