Basal transcriptional activity of pGl₃-Basic and TLR9-T-Luc or TLR9-C-Luc in HEK293. Control plasmid pRL-TK (Renilla) was used for transfection efficiency normalization of luciferase activity. The results are reported as the fold increase in RLA of TLR9 compared to the promoterless control vector pGl₃-Basic. The figure shows the mean ± the SEM of results obtained from six experiments, each performed in quadruplicate. The statistical significance of differences in luciferase activity between TLR9-T-Luc and TLR9-C-Luc was assessed by using Tukey's post hoc test (*, P < 0.001).
