Distinct interaction profiles observed with GST-UL11 homologs of HSV and PRV. Vero cells were infected with HSV or PRV, and 5 h later, newly synthesized proteins were radiolabeled with [³⁵S]methionine-cysteine for 3 h. The cells were lysed with NP-40-containing buffer, and after discarding the nuclei, glutathione beads that displayed the indicated GST-fusion proteins were added. Bound proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose, and detected by autoradiography.
