GST-UL11 pulls down UL21 only when UL16 is present. Vero cells infected for 5 h with wild-type HSV or HSV.ΔUL16 were radiolabeled with [³⁵S]methionine-cysteine for 3 h, washed, and resuspended in NP-40 lysis buffer. The indicated GST constructs were added, and bound proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose, and subjected to autoradiography (left panel).
