Growth factor-starved primary HCECs cells were either left unchallenged (CT) or challenged with purified flagellin (250 ng/ml) from indicated bacterial strains; PF(wild type PAK), LF (L94A), QF (Q83A), and then lysed 60 min post-stimulation. Equal amounts of proteins of 30–45 µg were subjected to Western blot using antibodies against phospho- (p) proteins IκB-α, P38, EGFR Y1173, ERK or AKT. After stripping off the immunoreactivities, the membranes were reprobed with antibodies against, corresponding proteins for proper protein loading. The Figure is a representative of three independent experiments.
