Cilia motility was observed at the dorsal roof or ventral floor region where the ciliated cells form a relatively flat sheet inside Kupffer’s vesicle. Cilia motility was traced using discrete Fourier transform analysis. Power spectrum in the range of cilia frequencies was summed and plotted into one image to determine the trajectories of cilia movement. Basal bodies of cilia and the rotational trajectories of cilia tips show the direction of cilia.
