Unlike ADAMTS1, ADAMTS9 does not sequester VEGF₁₆₅, or affect VEGFR2 signaling. A: Analysis of VEGF₁₆₅ sequestration by ADAMTS9 and ADAMTS1 was done as described in Materials and Methods. Note that VEGF₁₆₅ is sequestered by ADAMTS1, but not by ADAMTS9. The panels at the bottom demonstrate that both proteases were present in the respective media.
