Iron-binding assay of DsrR in comparison to IscA. Shown are UV-visible absorption spectra of DsrR (solid and dashed lines) and IscA (--·-- and --··--) after incubation with 0 or 400 μM Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2 in the presence of 2.5 mM DTT at 10°C for 16 h. The proteins were repurified by passing them through a HiTrap desalting column. The spectra were calibrated to an absorbance at 260 nm of 1.0.
