Wild- type (N2), coelomocyte-deficient (NP717), hmt-1(gk161) (hmt-1), and coelomocyte-deficient hmt-1(gk161) (VF14) adult hermaphrodites were placed on the NGM medium supplemented with indicated concentrations of CdCl₂. Worms were analyzed for heavy metal sensitivity after 4.5 days of culturing at 20°C. Shown are the percentages of worms that had reached adulthood 4.5 days after hatching. The asterisks indicate statistically significant differences (*p≤0.05, **p≤0.01). Numbers of worms analyzed for each strain and condition are presented in Table S5.
