Schematic representation summarizing our findings. In MDSC populations expressing increased (but low levels) of VEGF, we find decreased fibrosis, increased vascularity, increased endogenous regeneration, but decreased dystrophin RI compared to normal MDSCs. In the MDSC-FLT population, we find increased fibrosis, decreased vascularity, decreased endogenous regeneration and decreased dystrophin RI compared to normal MDSCs (but increased dystrophin RI compared to VEGF MDSCs).
