High-performing polymers comprise those that mediated statistically comparable levels of transfection to b-PEI (25 kDa) at its optimal weight ratio with DNA (0.5:1) (labeled with a dagger (†)). Labeled with an asterisk (^*) are the 50 kDa formulations that mediated statistically higher levels of transfection compared to their 30 kDa counterparts.
