Activity of catalase in control and experimental groups of rats. Catalase activity was estimated by the method of Sinha.41 The activity was expressed as μmoles H2O2 decomposed/min/mg protein. Each values is a mean ± SD (n=5 in each group). *Values are statistically significant at p<0.001. Normal + MC treated (groups II), normal + TFG treated (group III) and diabetic control (group IV) were compared with normal control (group I). Diabetic + MC treated (group V) and diabetic + TFG treated (groups VI) were compared with diabetic control (group IV).The experiments were repeated thrice.
