Comparison of 24 hour urine output in Lean Control and Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rat kidneys at 10, 16, 24 and 36 weeks of age. Urine output is significantly increased in ZDF animals as early as 10 weeks of age and remains markedly increased at all time points relative to lean controls. Values are mean ± SD. *denotes p ≤ 0.01 versus age matched lean control.
