Temporal course of 24 hour urinary excretion of albumin from Lean Control (LC) & Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rat kidneys at 10, 16, 24 and 36 weeks of age. Excretion of urinary albumin was unchanged at 10 or 16 weeks of age, relative to LC, but was markedly increased at 24 weeks and progressed further at 36 weeks relative to LC as well as the 10 and 16 weeks of age values in the same animals.
