Energy modules include glycolytic enzymes (GE) associated with sarcolemma (SL) ATPases in red, glycogenolytic enzymes (GGE) associated with sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca ATPases (SERCA) in blue, and oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria (Mito) associated with myofilament (MyoF) ATPases in green. Energy-distributing modules include creatine kinase (CK) in purple and adenylate kinase (AK) in orange. CP indicates creatine phosphate; Cr, creatine; KATP, ATP-sensitive K channel; and PRY, pyruvate.
