A. TRAP staining of bone marrow-derived osteoclasts differentiated with suboptimal (30 ng/mL) RANKL and BMP2 at 30 ng/mL for five days. BMP2 was added or removed on the indicated days of the differentiation, with day 0 defined as the day RANKL was added to cells. After five days, cells were fixed and stained for TRAP. Three fields were photographed and used for quantitative analysis in B–C. Representative images are shown in A. B.
