t10,c12-CLA induces PARP cleavage, concurrent with phosphorylation of AMPK and acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACC). TM4t cells were treated with 40 μM t10,c12- or c9,t11-CLA for various times and proteins evaluated by western blot. This figure shows that CLA-induced PARP cleavage is isomer-specific, and that phosphorylation of AMPK and ACC occurs to a much greater extent with t10,c12-CLA than with c9,t11-CLA. A, PARP cleavage.
