Data are means ± SE of the maximal rate of O₂⁻ production (nmol/min) from PMNs isolated from 5 disparate donors. fMLP, N-formylmethionyl-leucyl-phenylalanine. PMNs were incubated with the priming agent for 15 min at 37°C ± IL-18 binding protein.

^*Statistical difference (P < 0.05) between TNF-α-primed PMNs and all other groups. Statistical differences among groups were determined by a paired ANOVA followed by a Newman-Keuls post hoc test for multiple comparisons.
