(B) Simulations of the half-center oscillator model, used in the study, for “canonical” values of parameters. Burst period, T, defined here as the time interval between the middle spike of one burst and the middle spike of the next burst, is a physiologically important characteristic of the network; it is equal to the period of the leech heartbeat.
