Model Geometry. The model geometry represents a quarter of the ablation probe. Source voltage is applied to all of the tines and the tip of the canulating needle (red). The proximal portion of the electrode (blue) is electrically insulated. External surfaces of the model serve as a ground electrode and a thermal boundary condition of nominal body temperature (37°C). The entire ablation probe is assumed to be thermally insulating.
