Weekly passive transfer of 2 mg PrioV3 antibody for 60 days induced substantial reduction in splenic PrPSc levels when treatment was started at day 10 p.i. CD71-treated as well as untreated mice did not inhibit splenic prion replication and this reduction was not observed.
