Effects of TTX on the IGF-I (A)- and IGF-II (B)-induced alterations of evoked ACh release from hippocampal slices. Tissue slices were depolarized with 25 mM K+ buffer in the presence or absence of 10−8 M IGF-I or 10−10 M IGF-II alone and with the peptide and 10 μM TTX. IGF-I-induced inhibition of evoked release was altered by TTX (A) whereas the effects of IGF-II remained unaffected in the presence of TTX (B).
