Two systems interacting (colliding, in this example). The systems have properties of size, shape, composition, position and velocity, some or all of which will be transformed as a result of the interaction. The transformation is dependent on the context in which the interaction takes place; here the context includes gravity, friction, elasticity, inertia, temperature and space–time. Within a different context, the interaction will have a different resultant transformation.
