Activation of HIS3 by candidate positive clones. The pXC30 library was transformed into yW315W4 cells, and transformants were screened for their ability to grow on histadine-deficient plates containing 0.05 mM 3-AT; 30 positive clones were picked. The positive clones were retested for their ability to grow on histadine-deficient plates containing increasing concentrations of 3-AT.
