pH dependence of TBNAT inactivation by iodoacetamide. The half-life of TBNAT inactivation by 2 mM iodoacetamide was measured over a pH range of 6.5–10. kinact was calculated from the half-life using eq 7 and plotted as a function of pH. The absence of a defined plateau implies a pKa value for this titration that is greater than 10.
