AN studies AN w/menses Meets all diagnostic criteria for AN except does not have amenorrhea
High weight AN Meets all diagnostic criteria for AN except weighs > 85% of expected body weight
Non-fat-phobic AN Meets all diagnostic criteria for AN except does not endorse intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat
Partial AN Presents with features of AN but missing at least 2 of the 4 diagnostic criteria
Heterogeneous or other EDNOS Presents with eating disorder features not encompassed by partial AN; or features a variety of different clinical presentations; or clinical features not defined by the investigators

BN studies Low binge frequency BN Meets all diagnostic criteria for BN except binges less often than twice per week for a duration of at least 3 months
Purging disorder Meets all diagnostic criteria for BN except binges are not objectively large
Partial BN Presents with features of BN but missing at least 2 of the 5 diagnostic criteria
Heterogeneous or other EDNOS Presents with eating disorder features not encompassed by partial BN; or features a variety of different clinical presentations; or clinical features not defined by the investigators

BED studies Low binge frequency BED Meets all diagnostic criteria for BED except binges less often than twice per week for a duration of at least 6 months
Partial BED Presents with some features of BED but missing at least 2 of the 5 diagnostic criteria
Heterogeneous or other EDNOS Presents with eating disorder features not encompassed by partial BED; or features a variety of different clinical presentations; or clinical features not defined by the investigators
