(A) Strain Y103 (mca1Δ) expressing copper-inducible GFP control, Mca1₄₃₂-GFP and Mca1₄₅₁-GFP was analyzed by fluorescence microscopy after 24 hours of induction with 150 µM CuSO4. Punctate Mca1-GFP aggregates are predominantly found in cells expressing Mca1₄₅₁-GFP, but not in cells expressing Mca1₄₃₂-GFP. DIC  =  differential interference contrast.
