SpaCBA pilin antibody-mediated inhibition of L. rhamnosus GG mucosal adhesion. Radiolabeled (3H) L. rhamnosus GG cells were pretreated with SpaA-, SpaB-, and SpaC-specific antisera, and mucus binding was examined as described in Materials and Methods. The binding data from six measurements are expressed as means ± standard deviations, and the differences between data are considered significant (P ≤ 0.05).
