(A) Anti-flagellin antiserum was used to probe whole-cell extracts prepared from the V. cholerae WT, ΔflaA, and ΔflgT strains at an OD₆₀₀ of 4.0. (B) Anti-flagellin antiserum was used to probe the supernatants from the cultures that were used to prepare the whole-cell extracts shown in panel A. Results were similar at an OD₆₀₀ of 2.0; however, the overall levels of flagellin were reduced (data not shown).
