Example of a BN (left) to a set of rules (right), where the CF is expressed as the likelihood ratio of the conditional probability of the target value given the value of its parent variable. As seen in Rule 1, the CF is the likelihood ratio 0.8/0.2 = 4. The two rules in the middle are automatically pruned by BRL and only the higher CF rule for each unique rule antecedent is retained in the rule model.
