L-cells were incubated with medium containing DChol-MβCD (20 μg/ml). Cells were incubated for 30 min–24 h with DChol, followed by incubation without DChol for 0–24 h as indicated. Cells were then washed, lipid extracted and resolved by TLC, and DChol and DChol ester quantitated as described in Methods. ND: not detected. Values represent the mean ± SEM, n = 4.
