Values reported as adjusted means ± SEM. Subjects were instructed to rate their state of hunger prior to breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 3 and 14 of the treatment period. The ratings were based on a 10-point scale (1 = no desire to eat, 10 = unbearable hunger, must eat immediately). p values represents differences between treatments, adjusted for visit.
