TABLE 1. Analysis of chemotaxis by using MetaMorph software.

Numbers are the mean values ± S.D. Speed indicates the speed of cell movement along the total path by tracing the movement of a single cell in a stack of images and measured by using MetaMorph software (1 image every 6 s). Angular deviation shows deviations of the angle of the path taken by cells from frame to frame. Chemotaxis indices were calculated as described previously. If the cell moves directly toward the gradient source, it is 1, if directly away, it is −1. If movement is indifferent to gradient (random movement), it is 0.
